Swimming has kept me active much of my life. As my father was transferred by the Army and my family moved nearly every year, swimming often helped me assimilate in new surroundings.

After college I took a break from swimming for many years.  Finding out you only have to be 50 to participate in the Senior Olympics is what finally got me back in the pool. Since then I have traveled to the Senior Games in Pittsburg PA, Louisville KY, Palo Alto CA, and Houston TX. I won the gold in the 50 Free Style Event in Pittsburg. The clip here is not the medal winning 50 Free but it’s my latest shot at it.

I have also competed in the U. S. Masters Swimming Nationals in Coral Springs, FL; Federal Way, WA; Atlanta, GA; and  Mesa, AZ. I have swum in local meets sponsored by Doña Ana County Senior Olympics, New Mexico Senior Olympics, Las Cruces Aquatic Team, and White Sands Missile Range.
